# Terms of Service — Hermes (Echidna) *Effective 12 October 2026.* ## 1. What this is Hermes, also called Echidna, is a private AI assistant operated by and for a single owner, Bailey McCann. It is not offered as a service to the public, and these terms exist to describe how it may be used. ## 2. Who may use it The owner, and no one else. There is no sign-up, no subscription, and no access to grant. Requests from other people are refused. ## 3. Permitted use Hermes may be used only on the owner's own accounts, for her own personal and professional tasks. It must not be used to access anyone else's data, to send unsolicited communications, or for any unlawful purpose. ## 4. No warranty The assistant is provided as-is. It can make mistakes — it may misread a document, draft something inaccurate, or take an action the owner did not intend. The owner reviews anything consequential before it is sent or committed. No warranty of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose is given. ## 5. Limitation of liability To the extent permitted by law, the owner accepts that the assistant is a personal tool and that no liability is accepted for losses arising from its use, including missed messages, incorrect summaries or actions taken on the owner's behalf. ## 6. Availability The assistant runs on private infrastructure and may be unavailable, changed or discontinued at any time without notice. ## 7. Changes to these terms These terms may be updated at any time; the date at the top of this page records the current version. ## 8. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the owner resides. ## Contact [email protected] %% #AI — written by Hermes at Bailey's request, 2026-10-12 %%
